Fun question: What is the next piece you are eyeing or want?

Kind of curious to see what everyone is looking into. My list is long but I want to be a little more realistic with myself and there's one that I really want. I currently don't have the funds for it at the moment, but my goal is to pick up the Omega Speedmaster Moonshine Gold (black or green dial?!) within the next 2yrs. Until then, I am looking for a nice silver dial watch (sub $1k) to add to my collection. What are you hoping to get next or want for your collection?

I have two incoming

Superocean Automatic 42 Kelly Slater

and waiting for the call for

Rolex GMT-Master II - The Cosmopolitan Watch

After that, I wait till the year I retire to get the final piece.  Right now it's between a VC and an ALS.

·

Grand Seiko SBGE 255. I have others I am interested in, but I've been ogling the GS for over two years now. Waiting for a certain life event to pull the trigger. There are other flights of fancy, but this is the one, true, constant.

Either a Chinese Bronze case watch, preferably a diver, as non Chinese Bronze watches, especially divers are completely out of range. Or a small microbrand supercompressor. And maybe a seamaster professional homage but we'll see.

·

·

I won't be getting a watch for probably 5 years, but that's alright with me as I wait for a Black Bay 36 with MT5402 and T-Fit clasp or anything better that comes along.

·

Breitling Avenger Night Mission in 43mm size. The only problem is that it doesn’t exist.

Or, preferably i’d like to come across the perfect watch to end all this madness. Probably the Avenger is easier to get.

Serica California dial, I want a watch with diver capabilities but hate the traditional look of diver watches, most specifically the rotating bezel and big round indices.

That BB36 was already announced in S&G so I’m sure the steel version is coming soon. Wait for that and it’ll be a hell of a watch for $3k.

·

Oh man so many watches I’d love to get but if I’m being reasonable and keeping my collection small:

My next watch could possibly be a new BB36 if they add the in house movement and new bracelet like they did on the S&G versions. I’m sure that’ll happen by the end of the year.

After that, probably go Grand Seiko. I’m thinking the SBGA413 but I might also wait and hope for a similar model in 38mm. Other than that, maybe one day a Moonwatch but probably not for a long long time.

Saw this Jaeger-LeCoultre at an AD and really fell for it, but it's not in the cards soon. Too many other purchases as of recent. But once I get the coffers filled again, if it's still there.....

·

What I want can change every few days 🙂.  There may be a more affordable watch or three that gets purchased prior but I think I want to purchase a Monta.  Not pinned down model or dial yet.  But currently thinking....

A two-tone Rolex as a celebration piece. Trying to ignore my eBay watchlist until then.

·

That's a sick omega! I want a Casio duro, a g shock rangeman 3400, one of those recent timex reissues, a timex digital expedition.

·

a 32mm Certina ladies watch to strip for parts.

I’m leaning towards a Cartier Tank.
I need to see some in person and try the different sizes on.

I‘m hoping my obsession with them online doesn’t come crashing down when I see them in person haha.

I had that experience with the Cartier Americaine. Obsessed with it online for months. When I finally got to try it on wrist, just looked terrible on me. Watch itself looked great, just something with it and my wrist shape. Tried every size available too.

Hoping the Tank large works when I get to try it, otherwise might have to give up on rectangular watches altogether!

The list can get long real quick, right?! I’ve been window shopping for an obtainable piece that I‘ve wanted for a while now…the Seiko Alpinist SPB119. But I keep going back and forth over silver or gold indices!

I did pick up a white Direnzo DRZ04 on preorder in a perhaps futile search for an integrated bracelet watch I like enough to want to wear on a consistent basis.

I have a couple of things I'm always eyeing but nothing worth pulling the trigger on right at this moment.  I am also trying to hold off buying anything before the market recovers.

In no particular order.

  • Credor Phoenix
  • Sbgm221
  • Patek Calatrava 5134
  • Tank MC Chronograph in grey

But frankly, I have had opportunities to buy each of these and passed them up.  So maybe I don't actually want them that much

·

Next watch... Zenith Chronomaster Sport. Waiting.

·

H Moser & Cie Heritage seconds .... Just love the lume and the fact company makes only 1500 watches a year

·

Probably Zenith  chronomaster original or sport, don't know yet...

Omega SMP. Still not sure if I want to go for one of the older models or the new ones.

·

A Glashutte Original PanoMatic Lunar will be my next purchase to cap the collection.  I’d prefer it in gold, if I can get a deal, but would settle for steel.  It must, however, have a white dial for collection balance.

Nice! I've been in the market for one of these too but I'm waiting to find a deal on one. I personally like the silver indices. Have you figured out what you're getting?

I’m leaning towards silver…it’s more “me” and has a cleaner look. But the gold indices really popped when I first discovered this watch!
