Need a little help
Hey everyone,
This is my first post and was wondering what everyone thought of the dw-5040pg1? I’m new to the g-shock world and enjoy the square faced models. Should I try to purchase the anniversary edition? Also could someone suggest some models to add to my collection. I would appreciate any help from the community.

I don't have personal experience with that model but it very much carries the G-shock look and style well. But for 300 bucks...that seems pretty high in my opinion considering the OG Dw-5600 is 60-70 bucks on Amazon! At the end of the day, buy what you like!
I think it's expensive, I wouldn't buy that one even if it's a special edition just because it has gold highlights, better a normal DW 5600, but it's your money and your tastes, only your heart will give you the answer

Does anyone know of sites where I can get more information on g-shocks. I really want to start a collection. My luxury watches had to be sold for hospital bills and I’ve really appreciated g-shocks. Thanks in advance.

I got one. And i love it so much.
The prices on the 2nd hand market are...insane nowadays. It s the most basic module you can get on a square, so you didn t get the value for your money. BUT... well, if you want a conversation- starter, get it.
I pimped mine with the combi- bracelet (makes the feeling even more comfortable) and Bullbars. Nearly wear it every second day
On g- central you get news gshock related, new models ect. The 5610 is the basic one with atomic & solar. Great every- day- beater; no worries for battery change or time- setting. When you have a few more bucks to spend think about the gw 5000 u. Also stainless steel case with screw down, premium resin, solar, atomic...
