IWC Mark XVIII or Spitfire?

Hey guys!

Im torn between an IWC Mark XVIII and an IWC spitfire. I like both equally and have been wanting an IWC for the longest time. Here are my pros and cons:

Mark XVIII

+Bracelet option

+No faux patina (i prefer the look)

+ $500 cheaper

-40mm size

-ETA movement at that price

Spitfire

+newer

+inhouse movement

+39mm size

-faux patina

-no bracelet

Thanks everyone!

As my girlfriend would say “That’s a hard one “

Don’t tell my wife though 😂😂😂👍👍👍

Mark 18 all the way. The bracelet is great and it’s a GADA. Spitfire bronze will patina in time which looks good for more casual attire but staying dry.

·

IMO one millimetre difference in diameter isn't much... Two is substantial, but one is too little.

Surface-wise, 40 mm has just 5,2 % more than 39 mm.

·

One more point to consider: Mk 18 has a date wheel colour-matched to the dial, Spitfire to the numerals.

·

Or get both: A Spitfire Mk. XVIII 😀

Something I’m somewhat torn between as well. I would go mk xviii over the spitfire. More versatile in my opinion

Say no to faux!

How big is your wrist? 18 is classic but the l2l is significant
