Yard work and your watch - do you?

I do yard work with my fave watch - do you?

I do have a beater watch and when its nails and hammer then I get that on, else, for light work its my lovely Tudor FXD.

Beater all the way for most anything physical work related

Absolutely, usually a field watch of some kind, I like my Khaki for most fall work.

I don’t see the need to baby watches so much. If the manufacturer puts 100m WR on it, I swim with it. Unless I know for a fact I’m going to bang my wrists against hard surfaces, I wear it. Cleaning the house, cutting grass, drywall work?  Yeah, I wear what I want.

I have a selection of beaters that I use for any work, so I don’t really have a need to wear my ‘nice’ watches. All of these beaters bear some gruesome scars that I wouldn’t want on certain watches.
I wouldn’t wear my best shoes to dig up spuds 👍

Either no watch or usually a G-Shock

I live in the city. I don't have a yard. But a Grand Seiko is my daily wear almost-beater, and I'll wear that for all but the heaviest of housework. It's been through a lot. And I've learned, Spring Drive can take a lot. The one time I won't wear it is while riding bike. It's not that it can't take it, but I've had a G-Shock meet the pavement, and it (and my arm) was a bit the worse for wear, so I won't risk that for any mechanical watch.
