For me the only way to authenticate a Rolex watch is to send it to Rolex
Rolex & Rolex AD'S are the only way to insure that you are buying a Rolex. Rolex as an investment is another consideration. Purchasing new from an AD at list provides instant equity. The watch doesn't provide passive income or pay dividends and/or interest. You only realize a profit when you successfully sell = more than you paid & you didn't get fleeced when being paid.
