5th Anniversary Gift from My Employer

Capturing the golden gleam of my five-year anniversary gift from the incredible team at Mixbook. The Bulova Lunar Pilot, also fondly referred to as "the other moon watch," serves as a symbol of our journey and the successes we have reached together. ๐Ÿš€โŒš

This is a rather special timepiece because reflects a rich history of space exploration. Its prototype was strapped to the wrist of David Scott during the Apollo 15 mission. During that mission, Scott and his crew left the confines of their lunar module to drive on the moon's rugged landscape on the Lunar Rover, a first!

He spent 18.5 hours outside the spacecraft on the mission, all while this watch dutifully kept time.

Just like the Apollo 15 mission marked a new era of lunar exploration, my journey at Mixbook has been a voyage of discovery, innovation, and team spirit. Each tick of this watch (at 262 kHz frequency) echoes the heartbeats of the amazing individuals I have the privilege to work alongside.

I'm genuinely moved by this thoughtful gift and it's become a daily fixture on my wrist.

A great watch and a great gift. I donโ€™t want to sound bitter, but Iโ€™ve never worked anywhere that gave me anything half that nice. Sadly, I donโ€™t think thatโ€™s a comment on me.

It really is a great gift โ€“ and definitely a reflection on Mixbook, for going above and beyond to celebrate my milestone. I believe you WILL experience this and much more.

A great watch, love mine. Congratulations mate ๐Ÿ‘

ยท

Congrats! I wish my employer did that. I'll be approaching that milestone soon.

You may want to start hinting. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope they give you bathroom breaks so you donโ€™t have to pee in your own suit. Congrats on the milestone.

ยท

Congratulations a great time piece to have marking the occasion

ยท

Congrats! What a gift! You can't say tool-tastic without thinking in the Lunar Pilot๐Ÿค˜

ยท

Thatโ€™s a great employer, yโ€™all hiring? Lol

ยท

Wow! I hope my employer would do that for me! But I'm self-employed and cheap, so...

I would love to have a nice watch as an anniversary gift. Of course, I was given a Glock 19 on my 10-year ordination anniversary by the elders at one of my congregations. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think that is the most American thing Iโ€™ve ever read

great watch, great story ๐Ÿ˜ŠโŒš๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

Very cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Congratulations.

That is a beautiful watch, with a rich history, and most importantly - it's as accurate as hell. Mine does not drop one second in 3 months. That's pretty much when I have to adjust the date as it is not perpetual,

ยท

Congratulations; treasure it! Companies seldom give these sort of things out these days. My dad has worked for the same company for well over a decade and I doubt he's received more than a pen and a coffee cup. Granted, the pen is nice (can't remember the brand name unfortunately) but I love this Omega of my grandfather's.

He got it for twenty-five years' service. People don't tend to stay with one company for a quarter of a century anymore given how competitive the markets are nowadays. Hang onto it. Did they engrave it? (This post has reminds me of someone's Eternamatic 1000 service watch sitting at my jeweller's place... Financial stress incoming...)

ยท

Yeah, my employer wouldn't ever bother...
