wow.....

Got the opportunity to see this watch in the showroom the other day. Did not think I was going to be blown away but I was absolutely stunned. Sadly, I don't think i could ever financially justify such a purchase. Curious to hear your thoughts.

I guess it depends on your priorities and where you are in your life. My personal opinion is that if you can, will not negatively affect any potential financial emergencies, go for it. I have difficulty pulling the trigger on any item that exceeds a certain self determined amount which makes my decision making process pretty easy. Presently I want to add either a ceramic Omega PO GMT or a ceramic Breitling Chrono GMT but my ad cannot show me both, suspect there is a limited market for the Omega. He jokingly offered to order in the Omega and give me a great price of just over 30k cad for the 2, lol. I think one would be ok but two is not rational.

One GMT is good to have, buying 2 at the same time sounds quite insane 😂😂

Is there any aspect about collecting watches beyond a few that is sane? I met a delightful guy who is at least 10 years older than I am when I was discussing a potential purchase yesterday, he had just purchased a quartz GS, keeping his massive pile of watches wound has become onerous. And yet he continues to buy more and more. My family thinks that I am nuts but in a good way, haha.

This is true! Honestly the biggest irony of watch collecting is, no matter how much we spend, nothing will ever beat a casio that is worth less than $50 in terms of accuracy and functionality. So.... i guess buy what you like!

My son in law owns at least 8-9 G-Shocks thinks his wife and her family are strange( me). My two daughters love the hobby as long as their dad is doing the sourcing. He was criticized for buying a quartz Shinola to celebrate a good contract by his wife but I support whatever makes a person happy.
