Tracking your collection

I'm just a beginner with scarcely a half dozen watches, but thinking ahead: how do you track your collection? Just a spreadsheet? Is there a website or software?

Chrono24 has a Watch Collection section

Just notes on my phone on watches I want…it’s a long list. 😂

Nearly half a dozen is great, man. Of course everyone collects differently, but lots of collectors who ultimately end with 6 or 7 after years of expanding and contracting and figuring out what you really love.

I don't track them at all. They quietly sit in one of 5 display boxes until I take them out to wear.

Watchee and Chrono24

There’s a great app called Watchee Pro that I use. There’s also iCollect but that doesn’t ask for the same amount of information. Otherwise like @Whitris said the Chrono24 app has a pretty good collection section, with the added benefit of showing the value of your watches on the app.

I have a favorite list on Chono24 for watches I’m interested in. But that’s about it. I usually end up buying what speaks to me and I try to fill in what I think I’m missing or wanting in my box.

I use an app called My Collections. You can create different collections for whatever you like, I have art, watches, wishlist, and some others. Within each section you can create your own fields (eg Brand, reference, size, etc) and add pictures, and if you think of another field later you can add it then. You have an option to back it up to the cloud. Here's a random entry in my Watches collection. In my Art collection I've got photos of invoices and any provenance as well as photos of the artwork.

Online spreadsheet that adds more details overtime when I am bored. I started with the basics; brand, model, serial, cost basis, date of acquisition.
