LF20W: an AE1200 alternative?

The worst thing about Casio watches are that they are so cheap (compared to their rivals) and once you have one, it can makes you wanting more.

It's a usual night where I can't sleep because I took a nap too long in the afternoon after work. With my SO fallen asleep already, my other choices would be binging YouTube videos, looking at facebook memes, or surfing on the watch forum. It was then that I noticed several guys having these cool-looking watch on their wrists.

So I search it up on the casio website to find out that they have a new model: LF20W. LF20W kinda look similar and has a similar feature with the Casio Royale, except for the 10-bar WR and the on-screen map. I think it can be a nice addition to your geeky watch collection, probably as an AE1200 alternative.

Well, the good news is, the LF20W hasn't been released in my country yet, so my wallet is pretty safe, for now. I haven't seen any of these guys on this site either, so I guess it isn't available in many countries yet.

So, what do you guys think?

Yes, that's where I first saw it too!

I had an AE-20W aka Twin-Graph back in the 80's-90's and this is pretty darn close. Luckily, these LF-20W's after being sold out when I checked, came back in stock yesterday on Casio's store website and at $30 I couldn't resist. I have an AE1200 as well. Seen them resold on eBay for $80, for those itchy to get one now. 🙄 Missing the blue and red graphics on the dial of the original. The LF-20W's seem to be smaller too closer to the size of the F-91W.

The Dim Sum of watches! 😂

I had something like that in the 80s. Don’t know which one. But after seeing BlueThunder I wanted a similar watch.

I think these might be ladies watches, hence the smaller size.

It's actually a unisex retro reissue, perfect for small wristed fellas too

Yes it's actually a retro reissue, perhaps your watch was what it based on
