Hi all,
I needed an excuse to make some sort of real-ish post on WatchCrunch so I thought I'd share my two Hamilton Khaki Field watches.
The one on the left is the Far Cry 6 limited edition (1,983 pieces) released about a year ago (shortly after the game came out), and the one on the right is the Hodinkee limited edition (1,000 pieces) released about a month ago.
The Far Cry version is an automatic in a 42 mm titanium case, and differs from the regular versions in that it has a red second hand and vertical cuts in the 6 numeral. The watch is actually featured in the game; you gain it in one of the early missions and it gives you a small gameplay perk, which is cool.
The Hodinkee variant is a manual wind in a 38 mm sandblasted steel case. I find the dial quite clean as it omits the secondary 24-hour numerals. The railroad track and orange second hand do just enough to make things interesting.
Both are on a canvas/rubber hybrid strap which is comfortable and still gives you the canvas look.
I don't necessarily like watches just because they're limited editions, it just so happens that they did these two just right (for me) as I appreciate the overall sober look but with those colorful second hands. They may seem similar but the size difference and dial design difference are quite huge; I enjoy switching between them.
There's something about wearing a field watch that feels better to me than any other watch style. It wasn't always like that; it's something that's developed in the last few years. Who knows why. :)

Both of those are good looking Hamilton’s!
I really wanted the far cry version, I just can't pull off the 42mm case on the khaki fields.
It's a really beautiful watch.
Thanks for sharing these watches!
For me the Far cry version is killer! 👌👌😍 love the look. Great great watch.
Those two be a perfect 2 watch collection can't go wrong with those.
Saw the Far Cry edition in person and love the look, but 42mm was a tad big to me for a field watch so I declined. It must feel so lightweight on the wrist due to the case being titanium!
I was tempted by the Hodinkee release when it came out. But I'm glad I held off because I much prefer the 38mm Murph and have one on the way.
Man I wish the Hamilton X Hodinkee was not a limited edition. It is stellar! 😍

I agree! Don't tell my Far Cry one, but I think I love the HxH one more! :)
