I see the stock is off over 30% after they warned of challenging sales and a troubling Christmas. Is anyone surprised? How have people found watch availability with the group recently?

I guess they have to focus on actually providing customer service now 🤣. I’ve heard terrible things in the NYC area.

I read the conference call and one of the fascinating nuggets was that Rolex is shifting production to more steel only pieces.

I'm in the UK,but did visit your city for my 50th a few years ago and couldn't resist running up the rocky steps 😂

I read the conference call and one of the fascinating nuggets was that Rolex is shifting production to more steel only pieces.

The steel thing is interesting. The big ADs have always said they can sell far more gemset and precious models than Rolex have supplied, but Rolex say it takes them too far from their core growth offering. I can see both sides of the argument.

WoS once told me they sold 65 gemset models in a week (in the UK) to help Rolex clear some inventory and that was well before the watch bubble!

Lots of really sloppy behaviour from ADs and individual salespeople all over the world in the last few years.
