Birth year watch ...

Does it count as a "birth year watch" if it's not exactly from your birth year?  Here's a 1955 Oyster Perpetual Ovettone with honeycomb dial.  Couldn't resist it even though it is a few years older than I am.

That’s a stunner, no matter the year

So classic! Love it

Only if it is actually younger than yourself and that’s a lovely vintage Rolex

I went with birth decade since it seems many vintage pieces can't be dated that accurately.  No where near as nice your yours though, that's a lovely piece!

Fantastic looking watch and yes, it totally counts! That dial is so charming.

I think hunting down a Birth Decade watch is more realistic than a Birth Year watch. I'd love an Air-King 5500 as my Birth Decade watch.

I really hope you find it!

Great watch!

The Arabic numerals and waffle dial is amazing! I love baton hands and indexes, but the triangle indexes and the dauphine hands are awesome! A pity that they are not anymore in production.
