Rolex Certified Pre-Owned
Rolex rolling out the CPO program was a great decision. As someone who is a new watch dealer, this I believe will help put a hold on the insane prices we are experiencing. Rolex makes near a million watches a year.. so the AD “qualification” needs to go. Rolex is one of my favorite watch brands in the world. So I praise them as they take this leap into CPO. Like some cynics had said here, this sounds more like Rolex getting a cut in that sweet, sweet Rolex grey market monies. Also can't imagine what the price of these 'Rolex certified' pieces are going to go at after they got snapped by grey market dealers.
Sorry for being a wet towel but yeah, I'll wait to see first the aftereffects of Rolex's decision.
This will not help the qualification process. Only the best customers are going to get new pieces, still. It has been that was for decades in numerous industries (cars, art, fashion, etc) and not going away anytime soon. This just gives folks the option to buy a pre owned copy via a more trusted source.
