First Luxury Watch Purchase around $1K: Which one?
I’m just gonna cut to the chase. My Credor and Watchdives pieces aren’t cutting it. I need a watch to satisfy my cravings for years. A brand that’s a heavy hitter. I’ve been into watches for 7 years and have never owned a luxury piece.
Both watches are quartz (I do not want to hear “just get an auto, man!” I like quartz), roughly the same price. I want this to be a daily. Looking for long term satisfaction.
The Omega is preowned and at least 20 years old. Dark blue wave dial. The GS is probably less than 10 years old. Glossy white dial. What would you choose and why?

Apart from stainless steel sports watches, I'm a huge aerospace fan and have a passion for anything with a jet or rocket engine strapped to it.

My first nice watch was my 2001 Seamaster 2264.50 quartz. Bought it new when I was 30. Cherish it above all my other watches, including automatics. Nothing wrong with quartz. So anyway, yeah I’m biased towards the Omega 😉
The Omega! Congrats! Do they have any more at that price or are they relatively easy to find at that price. I’m seriously interested because I never thought I’d be able to find one that reasonable. I would love a quartz of that caliber then I could quit collecting! Good luck! 🌈

I chose GS since SM is too common for me. Also a GS fanboy. So take my opinion with grain of salt
I’m a little torn tho’ : SM has lume and blue dial which is nice, but 20 yr is a fragile antique IMO
