SOTC 2022

Having returned to the fold at the end of 2022 I thought I should post this at the start of my new journey and as something of an introduction. The top three were bought, given and won in the mid 80's, 90's and 00's. There was then a twenty year gap, when I just used phones to get the time, until 2022 when I bought a Pixel Watch (not pictured) and perversely this re-kindled my interest in real watches. The bottom three were all bought in the last quarter of 2022. The ten slot watch box arrived today and my intention is to not exceed this number 😂.

From top left: unknown Sekonda, DeWALT branded #Timex Ironman, Foster's F1 branded unknown make, Laco Aachen 39mm, Casio MDV106-1AV, Laco Augsberg Blaue Stunde 39mm.

From the top tow the Foster's will probably be sacrificed at some point as it is nothing special but the Sekonda and Timex are staying.

Going forward I have a few options swirling around in my head and currently a Hamiltion Khaki Field Auto 38mm is fighting with a Seiko Prospex Speedtimer panda, but that's a previous post.

Here's looking forward to a horologically interesting 2023.

Thanks. I couldn't decide between the Type A or Type B dial. In the end I bought the Type B first, and loved it, but after seeing the Blaue Stunde dial and case I couldn't resist it so bought a Type A version on the bracelet. While some might argue that I have bought the same watch twice they look and wear so differently that this never feels to be the case. I'm even toying with the orange version, the only stumbling block is the choice between Neapel or Palermo 😂

Thanks. I'm not a fan of digital watches but this was given to me by one of the DeWALT sales reps when I worked at Black & Decker so reminds me of that period in my life. It is also so light and comfortable that you don't know you are wearing it.
