NoVA Watches & Coffee

NoVa (Northern Virginia) Watches & Coffee met today for another fun time discussing and trying on watches. I brought along five today which can be seen in the foreground on green canvas. Within a few minutes of arrival, my penny ante collection of mall-bait was dwarfed by high end bangers not of this earth. Yours truly was awestruck by the level of craft on pieces only previously seen online, with RGM gallantly leading the charge. Yes, I was able to look at and try on an RGM piece courtesy of @ImNevix . RGM as a company deserves all the accolades it gets and then some. Surprising how little the brand is discussed by online "influencers", which deserves to be in the same conversation as it's Swiss brethren.

Good seeing you too Kevin, the RGM was hype beyond my widest dreams. Every watch on display looked great. Kudos to you and happy belated birthday.

Indeed…I’d be willing to sire many offspring with that RGM.

I love RGM, have visited their workshop and am currently waiting for a piece myself. I think the main issue is that they face in terms of gaining traction is that their output is just so small by industry standards. I think the last numbers I heard was that they were making less than 200 of their own 801 movements a year. Truly in house sometimes means that you just are never going to encounter that many watches in the wild, and the influencers are unlikely to ever handle one. Then again, they don't seem to have any trouble selling everything they can make....

Rob, we wait for your return. Your reasons for not making it are well understood.

I will say it is well worth the wait. I would love to add more to my collection someday.

What do you have on order? Can not wait to see pictures.
