Watch size
My first post 😝The trend seem to be downsizing and the longer I am in this watch hobby, the more I enjoy smaller watches. 2 GMT’s side by side and I prefer the 39mm. Classy. Thoughts?

As I'm getting older and eyes are deteriorating I'm finding I prefer bigger more legible watches. Blummin' getting old is naff, but beats the alternative 🤔😂
Smaller sizes typically wear better on the wrist, and are a bit more elegant than a larger watch. I’ll almost always take a 36-39mm watch. Once you get used to down sizing, 42mm can seem like a real beast.
Well, it certainly depends on your wrist size. 39mm wouldn't even register on mine. On others 37mm would be too large. It's just the way it is, there are skinny guys and fat guys and watches work like clothing. You need the perfect size in order not to look ridiculous! 😊

True. Got this for the wife and she wanted something a bit more bulky. I think large sport watches looks great on women these days. Women wearing “mens watches” is sexy

yes, i think the huge watch trend is waning. folks like TGV (the urban gentry), and Marc from Long island Watches seem to agree. 39mm to 40mm seems to be a sweet spot for average wrist size.
For me, the lug-to-lug dimension is somewhat important too. 40mm diameter is normally max for me but I do I have a 42mm which wears okay because the lug-to-lug is 48mm. Still, the dial and bezel proportions are a factor too. By the way, that Seiko looks good 😊
