Pawn shop discoveries - Panerai, Omega, Cartier
Dropped by my local pawn shop this morning - appropriately named ‘Posh Pawn’. Found these three beauties. The Panerai GMT & Cartier Santos are both £5-6k. The two tone Globemaster is £7.5k. All box and papers. Thoughts? Preferences?

Yeah, that’s the one that surprised me the most too. I thought it would be too big but it’s 42mm works on my 7inch wrist. Slightly top heavy - must be +15mm thick with the domed sapphire - but it had some serious wrist presence. Nice waffle dial + in-house movement with 3 day power reserve. Chrono24 suggests that it’s at about the right price - PAM1535 is ~£6.5k. The Santos is beautifully engineered but not nearly as unusual + sans GMT function. The Globemaster is ‘too flashy’ according to my 15 year old son but I think its a massively underrated model.

I have a 7 in wrist and love wearing my Rolex deep sea,yes it is a little top heavy but it stays in place ,I checked chrono as well , they let you haggle slightly so that panerai could go down in price

Late comer to this post but wow, what I’d give to stumble upon finds like that at a pawnshop in my area! My vote is also for the Panerai after some serious haggling. Hope it went well! 🤙
