All in the Details

Say what you will about the Bond Seamaster Diver 300M’s over design (e.g. skeletonized hands, scalloped bezel, wave dial, He escape valve, crazy bracelet, etc), but I actually think the red tipped second hand is super functional. It would be really hard to line it up to the minute-track otherwise.

What about the rest of you? Can you think of any other detail in your watch that you especially appreciate?

Speaking of red tipped second hand… (almost lost in this photo)

Omega SMP has unique bracelet. Many watch lovers want to change it, but for me it is perfect.

I agree. I love the bracelet. I change it frequently but I think that OEM bracelet is iconic at this point.

I got a smile dial non-diver Black Bay 41 last year and the smile dial is no more. Happy I got it!

I quite like any dial that has an orange seconds hands. I like it even more if it's a "jet" seconds hand.

The Cyclops Eye of course!

I always love the distorting effect around the edges of the box crystal. The way the 9 and 6 look on the Ranger are another big favorite of mine. Of course the red tipped seconds hand, and the polish around the lume on the hour and minute hand. The tiny ring of polish around the smooth bezel is a great little bit. It’s always felt like a watch you can see quickly with almost boring simplicity but wearing it often shows some great little details.

Believe it or not, I wish all Omegas had the Omega logo as/at the 12 o clock marker instead of a 12, I think it makes it look more symmetrical and bolder.

The recessed creamy lume, lollipop seconds hand and minimal text is what sold me on this version rather than the older model.
