Ali express sale 11/11
I have seen some you tubers giving top recommendations to buy from the 11/11 sale in Ali express. In terms of the design, some are look alikes of well established names, definitely at the affordable end!
Would love to get your views on this if anyone has tried it and how's the experience? Any hidden gems that go unnoticed because of perceived low quality

The Seagull 1963 is a not-so-hidden gem. I'd recommend it to anyone. AliExpress is also good for straps and watchmaker's tools. I once bought a leather strap that was plastic when it arrived. But that's the only problem I've ever had with AliExpress.
I purchased the popular Speedmaster homage, Pagani Design PD1701v3, from AliExpress last year; shipped all the way from China to eastern Kanuckistan without a hitch! Am COMPLETELY satisfied with the watch 👍 👍

I have over 60 orders with AliExpress, many of which were watches. The majority of my orders were completed without any problems.
The biggest drawback of ordering there is the shipping. Usually it's free, sometimes it costs (and when it does cost, it's not a lot), but it's always very slow to arrive. My experience, in the US and in my state (Virginia), it takes at least two weeks. I think the quickest I've ever experienced is ten days.
Further, if the package gets lost or stolen enroute, you will have to wait over 70 days before THEY give up that the package is undeliverable, and before they'll entertain a refund request. As long as the package is listed as "in transit," you have to wait for the order to "time out." I am currently in that situation with a watch ordered on September 30 that has been stuck in Odenton, Maryland since October 9. My daily delivery updates say the same thing every day. Even the carrier noted that the package may have been lost! I'm not going to get the watch but I still have to wait. In the meantime, they have my money and I have nothing. Infuriating.
The only other drawback of ordering there is the quality control, meaning sometimes it seems non-existent at times. You'll get something and look at it and think, "Did NOBODY even LOOK at this before they shipped it?"
There are great values to be had there but just be forewarned about what I just mentioned.

The shipping took a bit of time, but I was prepared for that. Other than waiting a couple of weeks, nothing unusual at all with my purchase. I'm happy with the quality and it exceeded my expectations. I'm wearing it today.
I didn't like the bracelet that came with it -- too big and jangly for me. So I got a Barton silicone strap and love it. It's a solid little watch, keeps good time and very pretty with great lume. A bargain for all that comes with it. Some of the edges may be a bit sharp, but nothing bothers my skin and I feel totally comfortable.
