New Watch!
Shoutout to Heller Jewelers in San Ramon, CA! Had to get this rubber strap cut a few times for the perfect fit! Well worth the hour drive. I’ve been looking for something to fit my mostly casual lifestyle. I love dress watches but never have any occasions for a dress watch. I can still see myself wearing this with a nice shirt or a suit. I know people have mixed feeling ls about Tag Heuer but I’m in love with this watch! My first watch at this price point or anywhere near it. Oh and that lume!! 😎🤿 ☮️ ❤️⌚️

I'm really on the fence about whether or not to buy a Solargraph... I love the idea of them, and I love the look, but $3K CAD for the steel version is just a bit outside what I want to pay.

I agree. I paid 2,500 which is still a lot. It took a lot of thinking to decide on this one but I’m going to give it a shot and I’m excited to experience life and travel with this! I get it at 3k you can get other options and even multiple watches. Decisions decisions..

Not speaking for every opinion (or my own), but issues I've heard people taking with TAG include being part of LVMH, their marketing campaign choices, quality control issues in recent eras, and their attempts at a smart watch line

Ah thanks for the insight! I guess all those things depends on personal preferences then? It's not as if the brand is associated with particularly nefarious business practices (eg. Child labor, slave labour, false promotion, etc.)? Mind you, the QC debate sounds like similar gripes in the Seiko discussion. 'Charging more for less' seems to be something a fair few businesses (inside the watch world and out) are trying to get away with!

I think the price is very reasonable. The build quality is excellent and the movement will save you money in the long run since maintenance isn't required as much when compared to mechanical pieces. This model is jam-packed with features for the price (cool materials, super accurate, solar-powered convenience, 20 ATM, micro adjust + diver's extension clasp, quality diving bezel, 20mm lug width, fully lumed, etc).
