In my circles, it's a cacophony of Seikos and Casios. Usually between G-Shocks, SKX's, or Seiko 5's.
Though the brand names aren't nearly as interesting as the stories they carry.
Mine's a Fossil chronograph that I purchased after working as a committee for a month-long international sporting event.
I didn't know anything about watches, I just liked the black dial and stainless steel.
It's even too big for my wrist.
But, it will forever mark the blisters, arguments, logistic nightmares, and post-shift laughs I shared with my friends. Although it doesn't get much wrist time, it definitely has the most sentimental value.
What's the story behind your first watch?
P.S I put a poll just to see how many share the same scenarios as the opening statement. Don't hesitate to share your story!

Nah DT I have tried really hard to but she isn’t into Watch for her self. She fully supports me completely but the best I can do was convince her to get a birth year watch and let me build her one. After that I’m not going to try.
Hopefully those to well make something click for her.
