[DONE!] Desperately Need Your HELP! Please give your valuable opinion!
Today i've decided to try this awesome piece once more with the silicone strap before giving the final decision to sell or not sell it 🙃 Some of you might see my post yesterday which I was pretty confused about that. Still looks very sleek however i've fell in love with Nomos Club Sport 39 Smoke dial so sooo badly.
I've already sold 2 watches of mine and including this one two on the go to buy that Nomos. However, yesterday I did something which maybe I shouldn't. I've bought the original easy switch bracelet for my Longines Spirit 40mm white dial since i'm not gonna sell it anyways. I decided to invest a little more on that (around 450€ 😱). Which means that even though I sell this watch and also my ClaudeBernard Slimline Automatic Gold PVD, i still need around 800€ to buy the Nomos after investing to that original bracelet. And that amount can cause same family disaster if I pay this much extra. You know, we see lots of news which tells wife killed husband etc. 😂
So, here's the thing;
Option 1:
Sell this and the ClaudeBernard and wait till I can save 800€ more and buy the Nomos.
Option 2:
Do not sell this, sell only ClaudeBernard and buy something like Certina DS-7 Gold PVD (alternative to ClaudeBernard with 100m water resistance) and also a few more straps for the Longines Spirit and also this Conquest (since they're both 21mm).
Option 3:
Sell both, and buy sth around 2000-2500€ with a medium/light silver dial which might fit almost every color combination of my outfits by changing strap.
What can be those?
- New Conquest (2023) gray/silver dial
- Ball Fireman or Engineer (depends on dial i don't know)
- Oris bigcrown propilot
- Tudor Royale (if i can stretch the budget a little bit more)
As i've mentioned yesterday, my style is not that much on the sportier side, however i'm usually looking something between, versatile but dressy looking, more than 100M WR, definitely with lume, thinner than 11 or at least equal to, smaller than 41 and larger than 38 diameter size, reliable and serviceable automatic movement, with a generic dial color (in this case medium gray/silver but definitely except pure black and white since I have one of the best white dials ever already).
So please, please help me choose 🙃

Ok brother…..I hear your analysis and frustration…..when in a bind like this, sometimes the best thing to do is do nothing and give it time. I too get consumed with the chase. I would sell some watches to reimburse yourself. That way, it’s less “real” money chasing it and more “liquidated” money chasing it.
I sold 7 watches that I was bored of just to get my Presage….
I don’t regret it, but I feel so much better that I liquidated to get it. So, I think if you do that, you’ll feel less guilty and stressed.

I didn't read the options very carefully but I'd sell whatever you have to sell and then save whatever you have to save to get the watch you know you truly want.

Sharpest answer ever🥳🥳 it all depends on selling this conquest. But i do not have any regrets related with the original easy switch bracelet for my spirit. I should do it months ago🥳🥳

They all offer stainless steel bracelet options and although you will find most of the time 41mm version on the Longines website, you can still find great deals (mostly from Japan) with 38.5mm size. Another gem: Tudor Style 38 with smooth or fluted bezel in different color variations.

Yeah you are right, havent thought about that. Automatic, great lume, 100m & affordable: Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic, the 38 mm wears larger due to lug size and same for Citizen NB1050 with Duratect coating for me the most beautiful Citizen out there (JDM).

Actually even though i like them too much as a brand i really don't like the design language of both. And I can go up to 2K 😀 So rise the bar🤑

You're absolutely right, i currently really like and can buy more than 12 options, including Ball, Alpina, Longines, Mido, Certina, Oris, Frederique Constant, Farer... with all my min acceptance specs (100m+ wr, lume etc.) But none of them really make me excited as much as that Nomos do. I guess i will try hard to save more for that Nomos since that was the reason i went to the direction of selling my collection except the Longines Spirit. Havin only 2 watches which can cover everything for me.
But still, having the Alpina heritage diver in super dark green dial (without the date window) sounds interesting. Even though i hate 21mm lug width, at least both my watches can use same straps. The dial on that watch is really but really so nice. And i always wanted a inner rotating bezel watch. Anyways😂
Alright folks, after your valueable opinions, i decided to go with Nomos, but with a different one 🙂 That smoke dials is absolutely awesome, but in color wise doesn't give me too much room together with my white Longines Spirit. I decided to keep the black Conquest too. I've bought something super colorful from Nomos which i liked even more than the Smoke Club Sport. Put them side by side, one by one after each other, one to one wrist other to other. In all cases I couldn't take my eyes off of that super bright colored dial 🙂 Smoke is sexy, you can watch that watch all day, absolutely a fantastic piece and I'm 100% sure that i'll buy one in the future, but for now i bought a bright colored Campus. Soon i'll share NWA for that again 😉
Finally bought a Nomos, not the Smoke dial but the Electric Green one!!
