Here are some cases I use. We always share watches, figured I'd share some accessories too.
I've got some of these large pelican watch cases. They hold 32 watches (the foam is pre-cut) and are fantastic. I've used these to protect my watches for several cross country moves and I can't recommend them enough.
This smaller 5-slot case is great for tossing in a backpack or suitcase for air travel. I also can't recommend this one enough.
For flights on shorter trips, I'll use this mini-peli. Calling it a pelican is an overstatement; it's the same plastic bullshit the Chinese homage brands use, but it gets the job done perfectly. They slip into a side pocket easily and keep everything secure.
This 5-slot metal case just came in. My goal for this one is to leave in my office at work. My co-workers all have their own morale-boosters in their offices, whether it's football shit or even full-sized Lamborghini Lego sets; I figure why not have a small case of watches in mine just for shits and giggles. Got it today so I can't really say anything on it, but the initial impressions are great.

Oh god am I a... case collector too?

I would say many of us are!
Luv me some case Club outta CA. Especially their Gen III variants. Buck for pound better than Pelican. 👌🏻
I like the look of the soft 5 watch case, I've not seen that before. Pre lockdown I always kept a couple of watches in the office in a couple of individual cases. Having a handful like that would have been great, but now I only go in once a month.
We also had a lot of Lego around the place. Now that we hotdesk that's also all gone and the place looks very tidy, but also soulless.
