Calling this one “Baliktad,” meaning “upside-down/inside-out” in Tagalog. Both sides have yellow and white gold features inside a stainless steel/white gold/platinum case. The strap is a pin buckle that is also reversible, so the watch can have four different looks.
Of course, the main inspiration for most reversible watches comes from the JLC Reverso, but I was also partially inspired by the reversible nature of the Grandmaster Chime, as well as the fumé dial and hands reminiscent of the Moser Pioneer.
In a perfect world, I’d imagine the movement to be a heavily modified rendition of a vintage one, like these rectangular Walthams, but as I have neither the skill nor patience to such a thing realistically it would be a quartz, like the Vario Versa.

Pinoy here so I am interested!
I’m good with it. The only drawback to the Vario is the thickness. Anyway we can keep this under 10mm?

I think with the Versa, you feel the thickness a lot more due to it being significantly shorter. So a length closer to 45/46mm I think will make 12mm a lot easier to stomach.
That being said, I’m no micromechanic, so this is a concept at this point in time.🥲

Yep, the proportions are a bit off to make it reversible
I've seen reversible belts, and they always seemed to be low-end department store fare because, you know, why not just buy a brown and a black instead? You'd still have to flip the band and buckle, no?
I wish that scrapping the second hand saved depth. In theory, it should, at least a tad. Because I barely tolerate the 9 o'clock small seconds on the Bulgari Octo (I'm not looking it up) Finissimo or whatever.
I kind of feel like there should be a way to play around with polarizing filters, which is basically how negative digital displays generally work. I obviously haven't thought this through.
If you ever procure movements that run counter-clockwise you can call them the Baliktad Balik-Balik (BBB)
I think wearing dimensions would be similar to a large Tank Americaine, or Longines DolceVita. Otherwise the Reverso is also a great reference for dimensionality.
Ayos, pare!
