Vacheron Constantin: My Journey to Adding a Piece to My Collection

As an amateur timepiece collector, I have always had a soft spot for the luxury brand, Vacheron Constantin. Recently, I have been contemplating the idea of adding a Vacheron Constantin to my collection, specifically the FiftySix or Overseas in steel.

After visiting my regular AD, I had the opportunity to try on a few pieces, but the blue dial Overseas was not available (exclusive to the Vacheron Constantin boutiques). I then decided to visit the Vacheron Constantin boutique in New York City, where I was welcomed with open arms and given a mini tour of the boutique. During my visit, I learned about the rich history of the brand, and it was clear why they are considered part of the "holy trinity" of timepieces.

Although the Overseas was not available at the time, I was still interested in adding a Vacheron Constantin to my collection. After trying on several pieces outside of my budget, I was drawn to the FiftySix in steel. I had recently added a timepiece with moon phase to my collection, so adding the FiftySix with a similar feature was not out of the question.

After trying on the FiftySix in precious metal, I favored the steel, but the rose gold option was tempting. In the end, I made the decision on a whim to add the FiftySix in steel to my collection. Although I still have my sights set on the Overseas, I am grateful to have added a beautiful and historic timepiece to my collection with the FiftySix.

In conclusion, my journey to adding a Vacheron Constantin to my collection was an unforgettable experience. From the warm welcome at the boutique to the rich history behind the brand, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to add a piece of luxury to my collection.

Congrats.  I too am a big fan of VC.  The fifty-six was high on my list recently, but just lost out to a H. Moser & Cie.

Congrats!

Unforgettable experience ending with a beautiful timepiece.
Thx for sharing ✨

Thanks for taking us along with you.
Enjoy the beautiful new watch.

Congrats!  My Dad unexpectedly wound up with an Overseas years ago, before they were really popular.  He had been looking at a Zenith El Primero at the time, but the opportunity came up and he couldn't ignore it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Overseas (blue dial), may I be as lucky as your Dad. 😀

Vacheron Constantin..  the very best!! Enjoy you beautiful timepiece.  In my opinion, the best watch purchasing decision you will ever make, but then I will be biased

Congratulations on a gorgeous watch! I'd love to add a Cornes De Vache to my collection at some point (it's my personal favorite VC).

Fantastic looking watch. Well played. I have a grail-sized hole in my heart (and wallet) for a Triple Calendrier 1942.

Thanks to the search button and found a fellow FiftySix owner! 🍻

A belated congrats and wear it in good health! I got the same model like you but a different dial colour over this weekend 😃
