I have to agree with @OscarKlosoff that a bright color would work great as long as you'd be comfortable wearing it. I have a friend who recently paired a ceramic black Blancpain Bathyscaphe with a custom made lime green alligator bracelet and although it looks absolutely amazing in person, it's a bit too loud for me to feel comfortable wearing.
I’d also suggest seeing if there are any colours on the dial you could pull out with the strap. I have a watch with a black case and a lovely blue sunburst dial, and have a nice blue strap on it. I have one which is all black and has a lovely lavender strap on it.

Navy, olive, maybe brown. The right grey? Or, of course, any garish red/yellow/orange/lime,magenta or whatever.
Pretty much any colour other that Navy or white are going to work with it Pretty well
I second olive. Are there any other colours on the dial you could pick out in a strap?
Personally I would probably prefer a light brown leather strap, but it ultimately really depends on the watch.
