Do you wear NATO like this?
Hello there,
There are a few situations when I find wearing my Nato straps like this is way better than on my wrist (for cycling, hiking etc). In these situations legibility is pretty important for me, that is the reason why I'm doing it.
Did you try this method?

In winter, and more often with a Velcro X-Treme strap, yes. I think I stuck some photos up. Goes over the glove usually. It’s basically what divers extensions are for, and indeed the speedy was intended to be worn that way on an extra long pass through strap over a spacesuit.
I agree that can be a useful way to wear a watch. Like if you have on a wetsuit or spacesuit. While it might help you tell time more easily on the bike, I would caution against wearing a watch that way while in the zone between the ocean surface and the upper reaches of the atmosphere.
i think rubber and metal are the best choice for cycling. too much sweat for the nato
