Zodiac is owned by Fossil . Fossil owns STP.

ETA,Selitta,Miyota,Soprod,Seagull and scores of other movements have failures and detractors. Automatics are always a crapshoot of sorts.
BTW I have 3 watches with STP movements, 2 are STP 1-11 and 1 is STP 3-13 (all 4+ years old) and have had zero problems.

My Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 Saturation have STP 1 11 is the 50 Aniversary an goes perfectly well

I’m not sure I know the score. My STP-based watches work fine.

I own the watch, I love it but the crown cuts my fingers when I wind it. Little rough in the finishing, besides that it's a beauty
