Applied indices of blocks of lume FTW

Tritium as it will light up even without a light source due to radioactivity.

Would radium be considered lume paint?

Would radium be considered lume paint?

Not sure

I think as a true diver the tridium is the way to go but for the rest of us who casual swim or are in the twilight and not deep dark for hours, lume is the way to go

They both have positives and negatives. Lumabright will last a century, but needs to be recharged. When charged it is brighter than tritium.

Tritium will be useable for 10-20 years and is visible in all lighting conditions, but is not as bright, although it doesn’t need to be as bright as lume to be useful.

In practical terms, tritium will probably serve you better. If it is imperative to you that your grandkids get to see that sweet, sweet lume on your Seiko, then you might go that way.

Tritium is cool but when I first had an Nite MX10, I was convinced it would wake me up at night!

Both lume and Tritium die over time but new lumed hands are cheap
