Superb Sallaz polishing there! The Germans surely knew their stuff and the swiss really taught the Japanese well. One of the best case finishing currently in that price range no doubt.

Beautiful watch! The sharp break lines between polished and brushed surfaces is what gets me😍 ... your GS is a great example of that.

I'm going with a 44gs case for my next Grand Seiko - my SBGN005 has some Zaratsu polishing but since it's a sport model it doesn't have as much as the 44gs. Now I just need to decide between Spring Drive, Hi-beat, or another Quartz!
