My first real post (vintage Seiko 6309) ...

This old Turtle encapsulates nearly everything I love about old tool divers (history, patina, utility and wrist presence).  Picked it up a couple years ago for  < $200 on eBay, including the vintage z22 rubber strap.  (Took me a while to find one whose hands were the same color as the markers, which is a common issue with these)

Is anybody else into old dive watches here on WC?  Would love to see yours!

ps. You can see more of my stuff on Instagram @6105luvr

I consider mine a talisman, so much stuff has happened with that watch on my wrist.

Beautiful. Bug vintage diver and Seiko fan.  I scored a turtle earlier this year in great condition and with the original rubber strap, although it hardened and was almost unwearable. Had Jack at IWW service and relume the hands but kept the dail, case, bezel unmolested. One of the most comfortable watches I own.

That’s a watch with character, it’s definitely had a life. Good on you for giving it a new home.
