The Hamilton Field Officer 44mm would be a great fit. H70625533. I'm just a 7.25 inch wrist and it is supposedly even big for what I should be wearing (42mm is my sweet spot), but I love it. Applied numerals instead of the painted ones on its sister, the more popular 42mm version. So it looks more refined. And there are 3 more sets of holes in the leather strap left, so should fit you fine. I found mine at Ashford.com a few months ago discounted well below retail and even cheaper than Jomashop. There are also some very nice 44mm Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatics on the Ashford site that well below retail (and they are an AD for both Hamilton and Glycine, which has the 42mm Combat Subs - another recommendation for you).

These are really too big for my 7inch wrist but would probably work on you:
Boldr Odyssey Freediver gmt
Victorinox Journey 1884
Mido Multifort Chronograph
And these fit me but will also probably fit you
Ollech & Wajs OW P-101
Borealis Seastorm mk2 gmt
IMHO Flieger watches look great on "larger" wrists. I would suggest, you check out one of the original 5 manufacturers of WW II like Laco or Stowa.
They also fit your Budget, so no need to go for an homage or counterfeit watch.
I also like field watches like Hamilton Khaki or a cwc. But they usually come in smaller sizes compared to the fliegers.
