is this a good purchase? (please read description first)
i found a 16570 produced in 2000 (my birth year) in MINT condition (dealer is apparently reputable), i’ve always wanted this watch (my holy grail) but could never afford it until now. it’s currently listed at $8k, is this a fair price and a good purchase overall?

Produced in 2000 and in "mint" condition? Does it mean it sat in a safe for 23 years? Has it been serviced since? IMHO if you crank that watch up after sitting for so long you might damage it.
Buy the seller first and authenticate it. second get the seals replaced before getting it wet. maybe get a timegrapher print out to check its health.

no and no to both of those questions, it’s in mint condition but it’s not unworn
