Anyone have any experience with Mathey Tissot?

I came across this brand in the latest Urban Gentry video, the SOTC one. I looked them up and liked a few of their designs. This one just struck something with me, and I found the quartz version for only $135. I'm just wondering if anyone has any prior experience with them, or if anyone has heard anything about them?

Someone here owns a racing green chronograph from them, but rarely posts even wrist checks.

136 years of history, supplier to two governments during two wars, winner of numerous awards. https://www.matheytissot.com/b2b/cms/1/history

Also, according to Wikipedia, Elvis bought customized pieces & they were used as VIP wristbands during tour.

@Catskinner has a nice one. I have one in my Amazon cart but that's about as far as I've gotten with it.

Mathey-Tissot is an old brand with an illustrious history that provided chronograph movements to Breguet but then fell on hard times. It was somewhat revived by an Italian group that bought the brand, but now they are mostly selling cheap watches. Kind of a Swiss version of Bulova.

But just like Bulova they also have a few excellent models. I own a re-creation of a 50's Explorer 5500 (the Air-King Explorer) that was the fruit of a collaboration with Asia Mechanical Watches Group (AMWG), I even published a review here: You got me at 34.5mm, a review of the AMWG/Mathey-Tissot MT369

Lately they collaborated again with AMWG to re-create the original two register Type XX chronograph, the same model is now sold out at AMWG and is now distributed by Hemel. If anyone has the right to remake a Type XX it's Mathey-Tissot because they were Breguet  OEM manufacturer of the original first batch. They got the size and dial right and the only obvious concession is using a Sellita instead of the original flyback movement and sapphire coated glass instead of acrylic.

This helps a lot. Everything I saw made the brand sound amazing, the History and Providence are beyond reproach, which is why that price seemed so absurd. But the comparison to Bulova puts it into perspective. I'm more likely to pick the watch up now that the price makes sense. And the review was great, Thanks!
