Seiko Killer Qu’est-ce Que c’est?
My apologies to The Talking Heads, but the Wolbrook Neil Armstrong is better value than any Seiko of comparable price.
Ngl I love Seiko. In fact it was Seiko that got me hooked on collecting over 30 years ago.
Unfortunately Seiko doesn’t offer the same quality and value they once did.
This Neil Armstrong is powered by a Seiko Mecha Quartz, so it’s bulletproof. And the build quality is not just good, it’s great.
Look at the details in the BOR bracelet. That ridge in the middle of the beads is a detail I don’t have on any other BOR in my collection. Beautiful.
Seiko could do this if they wanted to, and at this price as well.
They choose not to. Why?

I’ve been so happy with this one that I ordered the 38mm field watch version. Also in Mecha Quartz. I’ll post it when it arrives!

I looked mine over under high magnification and couldn’t find a flaw.

nah no flaws
also things like the quick release bracelet, amazing lume, the best screw down crown i ever had are just amazing for the price
the caseback is a bit dull and the movement is just a basic Miyota 8 series in my skindiver but thats perfectly appropriate for the price and as far as i know they upgraded the movement, water resistance and case with their new Skindiver II version

Honestly, if they did a 37mm I’d be in heaven. That’s my all time fav size.

Love mine. Best bang for buck, regulated, shock resistant, anti-mag, destro tool watch out there.
Love the roulette date and even though it has a Cyclops, it's internal so not really a crystal wart 😂.
I don't know the price of this piece but the bracelet does look premium!
It was $293.00 including shipping. It’s worth 3 times that honestly.
Reading your post sounds strange to me. For what it’s worth I have not had your disappointing experience you apparently did. Your commenst about quality assurance leaves me scratching my head as my experience with their quality assurance has been great. Perhaps you got unlucky, or I got lucky. Regardless, Good luck !
Thank you! I have has the basic alignment errors on two different pieces (monster and samurai) as well as the underwhelming bracelet on those two as well as the other 4 or 5 seikos i have bought in the last several years.
I love Seiko. But they could certainly do better.
I have this one. Great watch. And really, this re issue has a more personal connection to Armstrong then the Speedmaster.

Yes and I don’t mind saying that I need to learn how to manage and care for a watch. That might be the reason divers are so popular. I purchased a Junghans and broke the crystal within 24 hours. It sickened me. I learned. I grew a little hopefully.
