2023 got me back into watches, and had me starting to build a collection. At the beginning of the year, I had only 3 watches, and of those 3, 1 wasn't working, 1 was a generic watch from Target, and one was a smartwatch I generally only wore for more dressier events.
Throughout the year, I found another watch I forgot I had, as I never wore it, and would buy my first real watch in years for a special occasion, and even that was too dressy for everyday use. After finding this site, I got more interested in learning the different brands, differences in watches, etc., and got into building myself a nice collection and get to a point where I could have options for both everyday use, and more formal events.
It's now the end of the year, and I will be entering 2024 with 9 different watches, those being:
Skagen 396LTMLN
Fossil Commuter Hybrid
CC Hughes CCHM2810 Liberty Half Dollar
Fossil Blue AM-3769
Timex TW2T39000
Fossil Flynn Automatic
Croton Patriot Series, Limited Edition
Timex TW2V79300JI
Generic Target Goodfellow Watch (not pictured)
Now, while I do not need another expensive hobby to spend money on, I plan on continuing to build up my collection, and maybe even get myself something I would consider as my "grail."

Good start and a nice collection.
I'm loving that Skagen.
Good start and a nice collection.
Thank you. Hoping to expand it a little bit in 2024. Definitely would like to add a Seiko to my mix, and maybe a Citizen. There were a few I was looking at that caught my eye.
I'm loving that Skagen.
Would you believe I picked it up for $10? Out of all of them, that one has become the one I wear the most now. Super light and looks good on the wrist, especially with some sort of blue shirt.
Nice collection. I really dig that Liberty coin piece. Very different and works really well as a dial IMHO 👍
