Hamilton x L.L.Bean (circa 1990)

In the wake of the really great Hamilton x Hodinkee release, I'd like to share my favorite collaboration/double signed dial: my L.L. Bean Hamilton Khaki.

I've got my fingers crossed Hamilton and every other manufacturer start making more watches in 34mm.

It is indeed one of those sweet spot sizes. I want to say these were about a hundred bucks at the time.

Nice colab indeed.  With 7.5 inch wrist, I’m scared of anything smaller than 38mm, but I’ve considered purchasing a vintage 36mm just to give a smaller, more traditional size  the good old college try.

I have a field/dive watch variant that’s cosigned ll bean

Groing up in Maine I've been hoping to find one like yours, as both brands have a special place in my heart.

I had a Chrono24 search saved for a couple years and snatched this one up as soon as I saw it. Check out eBay too, there’s usually one or two of this reference albeit in various prices and states of condition. Not my everyday watch but love bringing it north in the summer!

One with the same reference (drilled non fixed lugs and thinner case) just popped up on Chrono24

I'll check it out. My watch budget was just depleted from my last purchase.

Do you find the 33mm case too small?

IMO no. ButI like small watches (33-38mm is my sweet spot). It does bulk up a bit with a NATO but if you love how the modern Khaki Field wears, it might feel small.
