Smiths Everest Honeycomb dial - even better in person!

I’ve been contemplating getting a Smiths as a pairing for my Explorer 1 for some time, but was reluctant to go with the black dial, as I’d just end up with two way too similar watches. Once I saw the honeycomb dial though the decision has been made instantly:)

The difference in dials, coupled with my Explorer being 39mm, makes these two very distinct watches, and with the Everest I can be less concerned about damage, and wear it where I wouldn’t take the Rolex.

I’ve read some reports on finishing/quality being subpar, but honestly, for the money, it’s more watch than I expected - the dial is beautiful, the bracelet is quite acceptable as well, and wears comfortably once sized.

I've been considering buying a Smiths Trans-Global from Time Factors. But I've heard so many horror stories about the buying process and CS issues. How would you describe your experience? Would you recommend it?

And cracking watch! That honeycomb dial is something.

I have purchased it from a reseller on Chrono24, as I just didn’t want to wait until new batch is released in December. So unfortunately can’t really comment on dealing directly with Timefactors

Hi, do you mind saying how much you paid? The Chrono24 options are quite expensive, perhaps the only option.

Sure! I ended up paying 800 CAD (so about 580 USD) after messaging a couple of sellers and negotiating. If you’re interested I would be open to sell mine - had it for a while already and to be honest it doesn’t get as much wear as I expected compared to my other pieces (mostly the Explorer 1 that’s eating up Everests wrist time:))

I’d love to chat with you about it! If I had an Explorer I, it wouldn’t get much wrist time for me, but I don’t lol! I’ll shoot you a message!
