Seiko springbars?!?!?

Help... i lost one of the speingbars that came with my spb117 alpinist...it just flew away and ive literally moved furniture around the area to find it with no succes ... I have many of those aliexpress ones you get with every strap, they are just a little bit thinner (the one above in the picture is your standard 20 mm Ali express speingbar)

And because of that the endlink is not sitting quite tight enough.... so basically I can't use the bracelet anymore.

Is it possible to get seiko original speingbars like that somewhere?! 😵‍💫😭

Yes. Check eBay.

You need to get yourself one of these;

Seriously good at finding sh1t the eye can’t see.

Or go on eBay and get a "pinpointed" (a mini metal detector), cost around £30 max.

Also eBay is where I generally get my Seiko fat springbars. Don't use normal 'bars because they're a smaller diameter on the ends too, & prolonged use will wear the holes in the case oval so rendering a sloppy fit when you eventually replace with fat bars.

You'll be fine for a week or two waiting for your new replacement Seiko fat springbars to turn up, so don't panic. 👍🏻

We've all done it, some of us quite regularly fire springbars across the room into oblivion 🤣

Can't hurt to try this since you probably have both a vacuum and stocking on hand anyway.

DO you know if the "fat" springbars fit any seiko or just divers? Shouldn't be so fat that it doesn't go trough the endlink...I found the fat ones at 2.5 mm thick and some at 2mm...?!

Sorry, I'm not certain. Hopefully someone more clued up can answer that for you. Id guess from my experience they're the same, but don't take my word for it, wait for confirmation. 👍🏻

Don't get one then 👍

Alright....i looked in my box of random watch stuff and found some speingbars that are thicker than others. It kinda works, still moves a bit, the original spingbar side feels like its welded.

But i guess thats the best i can do🫠

Thanks, i think they might be too thick as the original one completely fills the diameter of the hole in the endlink ... nevertheles i found some that are thicker than others and while it's not like the original springbar which feels like its superglued, it works...I guess I'll just have to live with that now 😅
