What a rugged and amazing little watch.

Bought it as I'm very fassinated by that region of the world ( former USSR) . FELL IN LOVE WITH THE WATCH INSTANTLY. It is not perfect. Not even close but it is all that I can ask for. The brand heritage amazing, the looks stunning, and a handwind vintage looking watch for under $30? Can't beat that. It comes on a very durable leather strap but I put it on another one with the deployment clasp so it looks more like a dress watch than a field watch.

Wears smaller than you can gather from the diameter. It's a bullet proof movement with world changing innovations ( for the time) . It has a brasscase with thousands of finishes as you would like. Some bessels are numbered some are just for aesthetics. The crown can be screwed down. The caseback looks very expensive and has a ingenious two piece design so that the rubber gasket isn't compromised while opening and closing the caseback. The hasselite crystal gives it a very vintage appeal and a distorted look at steep angles. It appears to be a small watch on the wrist . Lug worth is 18 mm . The leather strap which it originally came on was not something to sing praises about but it would not break in A thousand years. It can be argued that the bessel doesn't really serve a purpose as it is bidirectional and doesn't have a lot of resistance but it is not a dive watch anyways. The dial is very lightly textured and has printed text on it. Every dial is mostly on a military scheme and this particular model I have is for the naval segments. There is no quick date adjust and the movement isn't very accurate a lot of times that can easily be ignored or adjusted. For the price these are all nitpicking. The only reason I can think of not to have one of these in your collection is if you are politically inclined and do not want to support Russia in the conflict going on right now. Otherwise everyone should have one of these.

I named my personal watch the last Soviet as I purchased it on the date of death of Mr Mikhail gorbachev who was the last President of the USSR.

I am proud to say that I own a piece of history and hurology .

I may not be able to answer every question you might have about the watch so please feel free to ask anything else in the comments.

Only reason to have one is if you want a cheap "new vintage" watch. Watch that was made in the 60's and stayed there.

4.2 is really way to much in my opinion, more like a 2.5 if even.

Командирские=Commander's watch.

I bought mine direct from Vostok a few years ago for £20, almost certainly the same 17 Jewel 2414 movement.

I bought this as I believe it's the closest version to the one used in Skylab, which would surely make it the cheapest watch to have made it into space. Mine keeps good time, actual on the wrist between +14 / +20

But ... due to the war some countries appear to block payments. I've not had a problem so far.

Nice!

The strange, lumpy bezel the 81 cases usually come with do offer some protection for the crystal at the expense of looking a bit odd.

On the other hand it does coordinate with a double padded strap nicely.

I'm keeping a lookout for a 439 case in good condition to try a more conventional bezel.
