Recently visited my local Rolex AD and got to try on this Rolex Celebration Dial in 41mm. I’m not running to put my name on the list… not something I think I’d wear - is it cool? Maybe? Sorry but this Rolex looks like something you'd find at a fairground inside a claw machine.
There’s something to be taken from the number of participation trophies we give Rolex for trying to do something interesting, even if it’s nothing more than a new design on a dial or their first use of an otherwise common case material. Maybe the best thing we can do is ignore them until they come up with something…anything…new.
