Aliexpress

What has your experience been buying watches from Aliexpress? Anything to be mindful of? Any tricks to staying on top of when the sales are?

I’ve only buy one watch on AliExpress and everything when well, shipping was faster than expected. There are a lot of sales through the year but the big one was in March. If you follow YouTube watch reviewers you will know when those deals happen.

All good here!

Everything I bought was as described, do your research though there is some junk in there, try some trusted names such as steeldive, San Martin etc

Get the app and keep watching for the sales and extra discounts….

Installed the app and just started to look around

I asked before and didn't get any response, so I'll ask again.

I bought an item from them about 5 years ago and my CC was immediately hacked. Are they still having issues with that?

Lots to look at, don’t focus purely on the cheapest, however there are some great watches on there that are super cheap and are cool such as these two I have

"Corgeut"

1/ GMT, using ETA copy sapphire front and back glass and works very well indeed <£65

2/ Day and night using ETA copy movement agsin with sapphire front and back <£50

I don’t know if they have issues with CC payments but I use Apple Pay which is really secure 👍🏻

I’ve bought several watches and a few straps from AE over many years. No bad experiences at all. I’ve always been careful to buy from sellers with good feedback and pick watches that I’ve seen independent reviews of. If you don’t mind the lack of brand cachet you’ll struggle to find better value elsewhere.

That's good to hear, but won't help me. I'm allergic to Apple products.

I've bought several from Aliexpress. Try and buy when there is a sale you will save a lot of dollars that way. You can get packages quicker if you avoid buying during a sale but I recommend saving over impatience. I only buy from official stores like SeaGul Official store, Proxima Official Store, etc.. Also I stick to a few brands I've seen get good reviews and avoid the others. Sugess, SeaGull, Proxima, San Martin and Pagani Designs are all good and there are a couple other popular ones I haven't tried yet like Steeldive and Merkur. Just remember there is a large market for watches in the sub $500 price range out there so I wouldn't get carried away. Kuoe, Orient, Spinnaker, Fluex, Wise, Zelos... There are many with great offerings in that sub $500 price range and I could keep going so just keep that in mind and have fun. Good luck!

Anyone bought known brands like Seiko? I see some great prices but wonder about trusting them. Can sellers inflate sales number stars or is that only within the control of Aliexpress?

Just look at more examples of this brand. Good looking watches. Thanks for bringing them to my attention
