Anyone else enjoy PVD/DLC watches?

I just picked up a new PVD watch so thought I would share my collection of PVD/dlc watches.

  1. Norqain Night Sight. Newest acquisition. The dial is lumed and is a great size. The bezel has a strange 24 clicks which is very satisfying to use (although compass bezels are arguably the least practical of all the bezels). There are also 2 sets of lug holes to accommodate thicker straps which is very cool and I'd like to see this on other watches.
  2.  Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk. The least Breitling watch I've stumbled across and also my favorite Breitling. Love the dial color and the smooth friction bezel. Easily the best crystal in my collection - it just disappears.
  3. Seaborne tactical. Small brand out of new England making affordable watches. Love their use of color. A really well made and fun watch. The blue dial was a one-off they did which is pretty rad.
  4. Synchron Military. A very hyped watch last year. Love the case shape and funkiness of the watch. Wears like a Doxa sub 300T. Some days I just want to wear a chunky, loud watch and this does the trick.

I'd love to see some of your favorite PVD/dlc watches.

Is PVD metal or paint?

Is PVD metal or paint?

It's a process by which the metal is coated. It's been around for decades but the early ones tended to chip easily.

It's physical vapour deposition. A ceramic coating.

What is your wrist size?  I’ve been thinking about picking up the Breitling Curtiss Warhawk but afraid it may look a little big on me.

That Synchron Military is a funky looking watch.  To my eye it could be what a designer in the 1950s thought the wristwatch of the future would look like.

haha...i can see that. It's surprisingly comfortable considering it is on the chunky side.
