NOW I WAIT…

I put in an order for a Baltic Aquascaphe. About a month ago I posted my collection and asked for feedback on what I should add. The feedback was outstanding. One watch recommended was a Baltic Aquascaphe which was an easy sell since my holy grail watch is a Fifty Fathom.

I've almost bought an Aquascaphe more times than I can count 😂, please share your thoughts and pics when you get it

Will do. 👍

·

Hope it comes in soon.

·

Congrats. It's next on my list too. Enjoy

·

Exactly why I bought the Black/Cream dial! I’ll never own a Fifty Fathoms, but I can own a watch that looks like one! Enjoy your new watch! The Aquascaphe is great!

I like that more than the Fifty Fathom actually.

·

This platform is fantastic about the support! Also, your Baltic is a beauty.

·

These Baltic watches look wonderful, hope you enjoy!

·

Baltic is a great brand and I've only heard good things about the #balticaquascaph

I own another model, but I love the watch and it's design language.

·

See, this is the kind of feedback I want to hear. All the watch media and actually, WC too, sing it's praises.

Have you owned one or spent time with it?

I had one and sent it back!

It was not of the quality I’m used to, plus it had some QC issues.

What quality are you used to? For example, I picked up a Lorier Hyperion Skyward II. It has a simple soprod movement. When I pull the crown out, it doesn't feel v crisp. Changing the time doesn't feel great either - it has some give and it feels like not great quality. Is that what u mean?

You get what you pay for. I'm ok with the Lorier bc it's my beater travel watch, but yeah. Don't want all my watches to be like that

When I received the Aquascaph I was impressed at the level of finish and it’s good looks.

When I finally wore it outside and in the pool, I noticed the hands took on a different shade( brighter) compared to the hour markers, (it got worse the more I wore it outdoors)Then the rotating bezel was hard to move and and did not sit back in the slot, followed by lots of play.

It could be a QC issue as this brand builds great looking watches. Unfortunately I sent it back…

Please give us your thoughts after a little time wearing it. I’d like a Fifty Fathoms but the size is a major downer. The price I could bear with a little saving. Bought a CW Aquitaine to try and get a similar vibe. This looks very nice but one thing putting me off trying this is the movement. I have a couple of Miyota movements (Laco and Sternglas) and I’m not that keen on the rotor movement feeling that it should be smoother.

Appreciate the details! Will make me reconsider or at least try it on first

Eek. Ok, thanks for sharing your experience to balance out all the positive stuff

Any thoughts on the CW Aquitaine? I feel like that’s a similar comparison

·

Will do..I love the classic look of both the fifty fathom and Baltic. Even if I had $15k to spare I would not buy a watch with it. My love has limits.... :-)
