Rearranging

I rearranged my watch corner, and yes-it’s in the living room. My wife “agrees”.

I think I’ll buy a 12 slots wooden box with a glass top- too many watch rolls..

What do you say, crunchers?

Well, although this way makes you collection look more fashionable it takes up way more room then putting them into a high quality watch box. Your wife is a champ for letting you take up this much room ✌️😅

May I suggest the Rothwell 12 piece watch box. I have been using Wolf Windsor 10 slot watch boxes, and was in need of another. Based on the fact that Wolf has seen some ridiculous price hikes, and based on the fact that I've seen other people recommending them, I decided to try the Rothwell box instead. It has a similar design with the angled edges and glass top, and also provides plenty of space between watches to ensure they don't get banged up. I am now a convert - the Rothwell box is actually superior to the Wolf box, at half the cost. One of the issues with the Wolf Windsor is that the watches don't tend to stay flat, and jostle around when the case is moved, which doesn't happen with the Rothwell case. In addition, the slimmer profile of the Rothwell makes for a more visually appealing box as well. The only downside is that the width of the 12 slot box (they don't make a simple 10 slot that I'm aware of) makes it more difficult to fit in the safe.

Regardless of which box you decide on, make sure to check the size beforehand to make sure it will be a good fit for your display area.

You should definitely get a 12 slot watch box, that way you create more space for more watches 😁

Yeh, she is! And there’s my race simulator rig in another corner of the living room. Lucky me, eh?

I think you’re right- a decent watch box will be the logical step 👍🏻

I went with a glass door wall display so I do not sacrifice room. Collects less dust that way

I keep all of my watches in a cardboard box for two main reasons:

  1. In the event of a house fire, I can get 10/13 watches out in one shot. I could pile the other three boxes on top of that one if I am willing to walk a little bit slower. Due to the shape I can also stack it on top of my laptop, which contains an important "homework" folder that I cannot lose.

  2. Robbery. In the event that all of the prison-like systems of our house fail and my machete proves ineffective, no criminal worth their salt will take a stained (I plan to introduce mould to the box soon) cardboard box instead of a laptop, iPad and pretty neat salt lamp nearby.

Having all of your watches in a centralised location has many benefits, although I suggest rummaging through your bin before getting an expensive box. Mouldy cardboard has patina!

Jokes aside, I used to keep my watches loose in my drawers and in a small plastic and foam box that caused them to bump into each other and so on. You don't really have that problem, seeing as yours are all well-kept inside of some very nice boxes. Having them all in one place makes deciding which one to wear easier. Good luck finding the right box; treat yourself!

I've saved this post for the next time my wife complains that my very small collection of watches are cluttering up the place 🤣

·

Get rid of the books and picture and you got more room for watches

·

Yeah, consolidation into watch boxes might be a good idea, because you have enough watch winders right now to start up an amusement park.

Your a lucky man, my wife said no to having one watch winder in our lounge.

I now keep all watches, boxes, winders etc in my office in the house.
