NWA: Timex Expedition Scout Chronograph
Here is my latest acquisition, the Timex Expedition Scout Chronograph ref: TW4B04400. I got this off of eBay for a decent price. It needed a battery, so I replaced that and now it’s working fine! I replaced the leather strap with a nylon strap from Clockwork Synergy since I will use this watch for hiking and backpacking and leather will stay wet for too long. I really like these Scout chronographs. The case size and legibility are just about perfect. It doesn’t feel too heavy or bulky. I like the pencil hands on this model. The colors aren’t true in the photos. The green is a bit more vibrant in real life than they turned out in the pictures. Overall I am really happy with the watch. Solid, practical Timex design, and of course, it has the great INDIGLO!! I have another one with a black dial and syringe hands and might search around for one with a white dial too!
I enjoy backpacking, hiking, and photography. I have only recently started on watches, but am enjoying learning all about them. I work as an injection molding operator for a small company for 25 years...
