Kamasu Crown Broke Off

Hi all,

This is my first post and I am excited to hear from any of you.
I’m new in the watch world. One of my first watch is a Kamasu. But somehow I broke off the crown a few days back when I tried to set the time.
We don’t have a watchmaker where I come from. What do I do?

Either order the parts off AliExpress and do it yourself or send it off to Orient. Sorry I can't be much more help

This might be useful to you...not the same watch but references places for replacement Orient parts and how to fit a new crown https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/crown-came-off-orient-kano.5217434/

The first question: Did the crown break off, or did it simply unscrew from the end of the watch stem? The latter is very common and can be fixed with a bit of loc-tite (blue) and screwing the crown back on.

Is there a piece of the stem still in the crown?

Wow. Didn’t expect to get responses quickly. Thanks to all

The watch is now with a watchshop here. I will verify once I collect it whether or not there is a piece of the steam still attached to the crown. Will keep you posted

It looks like there is a pin threaded onto the end of the crown-stem that goes into the crown to attach it to the stem. If it's possible to unscrew that pin off the stem, then buying a new crown and threading it on should solve the issue. If you're feeling courageous you could try using some type of adhesive to attach the crown back onto the pin too

Just collected the watch.
Upon close inspection, unfortunately indeed there is a piece of the stem still attached to the crown. I tried contacting Orient but no replies yet. I prefer to replace with new stem and crown but spare parts are difficult to come by. Anyone knows where I can turn to for parts? If not, can I just use alternative like Seiko?
