1 Watch challenge

Day 1 of a 10-day / 1-watch challenge.

Going to Florida for a training course (I know, there’s worse).

Decided to travel with just the one watch. I chose the SPB143. Versatile, robust, water-resistant.

It should be an interesting experiment. Let’s see how bad I’ll want to wear something else after 2,4,6 days. I fear it might reveal that I really should sell 2 thirds of the collection 🤔

Oh, I forgot: I took the bracelet and 6 nato straps 😀

Nice time to come down! The weather has been nice and it’s starting to cool off.

SPB143 is great watch for the trip! Especially since you brought all those extra straps. 😆

Good luck! Good call on bringing the extra straps!

·

take more along in socks. you need those and watches are safe in them

Absolutely. There are limits to self-imposed restrictions 😂

“I’m travelling with just one watch!”

This man is insane! Who are you?

“..But bringing along several straps”

Ah, he’s one of us. Good travels friend 😌

I like the challenge. We should all try it some time

I always travel with one watch, I have a few low cost Aliexpress automatic watches that I don't really like and my choice usually is a G-shock or a Casio Duro Marlin. I'm a bit obsessed with time (must be the German part of me...). This being said, I'm always scared of the battery running out of juice and always think of having a backup watch in the backpack... I've recently purchased a Seiko Solar just to be on the safe side 😂

So basically you already know you would struggle with just one watch if you didn’t have the straps.

Strategic choices. Smart 🙂

Struggle might be a big word. More fear of missing out. I suspect many people have more pressing issues 🙄

Such a good looking watch but I sold mine because it was thick and heavy. The strap changes should get you through the week!

·

Hmm. Looks like someone’s buying a watch in Florida.

I hope not! I got a new watch like a week ago (not the Seiko) and frankly that would feel a bit much.

But am I 100% immune ? hmmm....

😬

I kinda enjoy its presence on the bracelet, but I see what you mean.
