The IWC mark series of watches. I know they're rocking a Selita movement but I just really loved the watches in person. 

Btw I had the same problem with the modern explorer 2, the case felt too chunky. The older cases have a more submariner feel to them. 

Casioak or the G-Shock 8800 series. Depending on how likely I am to drop weights on myself 😂
